11 Productivity Secrets to Crush Your Work Day

Hey Boss Babe!

With summertime fun calling your name, who wants to waste precious time bogged down with work? Today, we’re chatting about how to be more productive in your business!

We’ve got 11 awesome tips to help you get your work DONE, so you can hit the pool that much sooner!

  1. Determine your peak productivity hours. Each of us work best at different times. Be sure to schedule your most important tasks during those hours.

  2. Use a planner to schedule your day and (most importantly!!) set time limits for each item! When you give yourself a limited window to complete a task, you’re more likely to get it done.

  3. If you work a full time job outside of your business, actively utilize your breaks. Use your lunch hour to squeeze in important tasks- like writing a blog post or getting your workout in, so you’ll have more time in the evening.

  4. Find yourself scrolling aimlessly? Log out of social media apps or remove apps from phone. By making it more difficult to access, you may find yourself to be more strategic in your usage.

  5. Don’t spend countless hours in your inbox. Instead, set specific check-in times for email.

  6. Plan shorter networking events. Choose to meet up over coffee rather than lunch.

  7. Learning is important, but can be time consuming. So plan to listen to audio books or podcasts while you work out or commute.

  8. You’re probably going to dislike this suggestion but stop watching TV during the week. TV can be a great mental break, but it can also eat up a lot of your valuable time. When you need a mental break, take a quick walk around the block instead.

  9. If you’re a morning person, get up a bit earlier! That extra hour can go a long way!

  10. Batch everything! You’ve probably seen a few articles popping around about how awesome batch cooking is for your life, but what you may not have noticed is that batching similar tasks is good for business too! For example, got a lot of meetings? Batch them into a single day. You’ll end up potentially saving time on travel and getting ready (anyone else live in yoga pants when they’re not meeting clients?). Also, having back-to-back meetings will help to keep your meetings on time!

  11. Outsource! If you still find yourself without enough time in the day, don’t shy away from outsourcing some of your work. Hire a virtual assistant to send out those cold call emails, bring in a student to help you package up your orders once a week, or invest in services that help you be more productive (like ours)! We’ve got all the photos you’ll need for social media, blog posts, website design and presentations all in one spot!

We hope these tips are useful and that you find yourself sipping a Mai Tai by the pool very soon!
