How to Approach Slow Periods with Intentionality as a Business Owner

A friend asked me an interesting question last week, “how do you feel during your slow periods as a business owner?” What made this question interesting to me is that he didn’t ask “what do you do during your slow periods?”

This got me thinking.

It’s inevitable that our businesses will have different seasons- some will be very busy, and others may feel like they’re moving at a snail’s pace. Both are not only completely OK but also totally normal.

What I took away from this conversation was that the level of “busyness” in our business doesn’t really matter at the end of the day. What’s truly key is our level of intention, our drive to produce quality work and client experiences, and our understanding that every business will have a natural ebb and flow- and we should feel OK with this natural rhythm.

Don’t shy away from the quiet times; instead use them to rejuvenate yourself as a business owner, refresh your stale processes & products, and embrace these periods as a time of reflection and growth.

On a similar note, we’re very excited to be adding a new gallery, Wellness, to our collection this week! Just looking at the images from this gallery soothe our souls and remind us of the importance of mental and physical health. We hope you enjoy this new gallery!
